Maple & Merlot

This composition was created to help usher in the cooler season of Autumn, as the warmth of summer fades. Each item for reference was selected with the intention of appreciating the unique beauty of fall, with it’s giant maple leaves and sunflowers, snowberries and darker, rich tones of merlot, navy and chocolate brown. This design makes me think of eating dark chocolate with a glass of wine as I watch the leaves change colours, next to the warmth of a fire. It is completely unique, originally a watercolour and gouache painting, while honoring the trends of the season, with a timeless touch.
