Meet the Artist

Art has always been the place where Erin finds peace and joy, along with nature and fantasy. Growing up her favourite thing to do was get lost in a story of fairies and witchcraft, while wandering through nature.

She also has a chronic illness, and escaping through art and stories has not only been a place of joy, but also serves as an escape from the heaviness of life.

Weaving storytelling and fantasy into her artwork has brought a personal level to her work that speaks to those who feel nostalgia for the playful and imaginative qualities of childhood.

A young woman with long, wavy, light brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a white shirt and a colorful scarf around her neck, standing against a plain wall, smiling gently.

C.V.

Erin has exhibited at Harmony Arts Festival, Gallery George, PoMo Arts Centre, North Vancouver's CityScape, North Van Art's Art Rental, and recently had a solo show at Slice of Life Gallery.

She has also created designs for wedding stationary in Vancouver, Belgium and Australia, and has licensed her artwork internationally.

Style

Erin’s style is informed by her love of storybooks and fairytales, and her experience working in design. With compositions that move the eye across the page and feel intentional but still organic, her illustrative work draws the viewer in and makes them feel like they a part of the world she’s creating.
