One week I was having a really hard time, feeling wrung out of hope and confidence, and my husband asked me when the day was, that I was going to paint. I told him Monday, and he said, “Okay, I’ll bring you home flowers that day.” He knows that fresh flowers always inspire me to paint, and that I was needing some inspiration. And I decided that was my favourite love language.
