Blackberry Harvest
Folk Fairy Heritage
“Blackberry Harvest” is an original watercolor painting inspired by a childhood filled with picking berries and stories of fairies; looking for them through holes in rocks and trees, and building tiny homes out of walnut shells and moss. In this painting, the fairies have butterfly and moth wings, and are the same size as the insects flying around them. As they pick the ripe blackberries, you imagine the weight of each berry, that’s the same size as their heads. It tells a story of finding abundance in nature, and spending time doing simple tasks, like harvesting food and spending time with friends and family.
This painting is 16 × 20 inches, in watercolor, hand-signed and framed in a wood, metal and glass ornate frame in antique gold, that enhances the paintings whimsical nature. It comes with a hand-signed, dated and embossed certificate of authenticity.
